2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Quick & Easy Dessert

سْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ,

I am sure that we can all agree that chocolate is one of the best things on this planet. However, it can sometimes be difficult to enjoy a chocolatey dessert without worrying about the calories and the amount of sugar it contains.

Dark chocolate is always a much better option than milk or white chocolate. Studies have shown that good quality dark chocolate can provide powerful health benefits, including protection against heart disease.

Of course, this doesn’t mean you should go all out and consume lots of dark chocolate every day. Dark chocolate is still loaded with calories and easy to overeat.
But, we all know that restricting yourself from the foods you enjoy is also never a good idea -so if you are looking for a nice little chocolaty treat after a long day or you want to make a nice quick dessert for your guests, then this 2 ingredient chocolate mousse (made with dark chocolate) is definitely the way to go!

It is so easy and quick to prepare, and the best thing about it is it’s halal.

I’ve found that the majority of the time, store-bought mousse is haram as it is usually stabilised with animal-derived gelatine. (Make sure to always double-check ingredients if you do buy mousse from the store)

After trying out this recipe, I am sure that you will not be heading to the store for chocolate mousse again. So without further ado, this is the recipe;

Ingredients

100g of dark chocolate
250 ml of whipping cream

Directions

Melt the dark chocolate in a bowl and add only 50 ml of whipping cream before the chocolate fully melts. Stir them together until fully combined and leave to cool.

In a separate bowl, add the rest of your whipping cream. Then whisk until frothy.
Slowly add a few spoonfuls of the chocolate mixture, whisking as you go along until you have used up the entire chocolate mixture. Then mix one more time, and your mousse is ready.

Leave in the fridge for at least 2 hours to set.

You can decorate your mousse with berries or nuts. I used milk and white chocolate shavings.

Serve and enjoy!
